Relationships are key and cheapest isn’t always best.

The Power of Relationships in Business

This morning, I needed a new tire. No big deal—except I’m particular about who I give my business to. I went straight to my tire guy, Tre, at Tire Discounters. I’ve been going to the same shop for years. In fact, when Tre moved locations (and made it a little less convenient for me), I followed him. That’s how much I trust him. By 8am, he had what I needed, ready to go.

At the same time, I also needed to sign closing documents for a property sale. I’ve used Paramount Land Title for years—Eric and his team have earned that trust. Instead of making me drive across town or rearrange my schedule, Eric met me in the tire shop lobby and we signed everything on the spot. Done and done.

These aren’t just transactions. These are relationships. I don’t nickel-and-dime these folks. I don’t ask for discounts. They take amazing care of me—and the return I get is immeasurable. The value they provide far outweighs any so-called "deal" I could get elsewhere.

This is what doing business in community looks like. Trust. Loyalty. Value beyond price.

If you’re building a business—or just trying to build a good life—invest in the people who invest in you. It’s worth everything.
